Teriyaki chicken and broccoli

Ingredients (For 4)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 800g chicken breast, cut into pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups broccoli
  • 2-4 tbsp water to steam broccoli
  • 4 tbsp teriyaki sauce + 2 tbsp water

 

Method

  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add 400g chicken and fry until browned. Set chicken aside.
  2. Repeat for second batch of chicken.
  3. Add minced garlic and broccoli to the pan and fry for 2 min until fragrant. Add water to steam the broccoli. Continue cooking for 3 min or until broccoli is tender.
  4. Return cooked chicken to the pan. Add teriyaki sauce and water mixture. Stir to coat chicken and broccoli. Continue cooking for around 1 min until sauce is reduced.
