Generally, alcohol isn’t the best for weight loss because it gives you food cravings and is quite high calorie relative to its volume.

But if you drink in moderation and are still within your calories / portions you’ll be alright!

Top tips

🍋 Flavour with herbs (rosemary, mint, basil, lavender) and citrus (lime, lemon) instead of syrups
🥃 On the rocks or neat or use low cal mixers: Diet drinks, soda / seltzer / sparkling water*
⚖️ Tweak the ratio: More ice, sparkling water, or seltzer and less sugary soft drinks, syrup, juice
🍾 Wine: Look for dry versions with a lower alcohol content (9-12% ABV); calorie content highest to lowest red > white > rosé 👏🏼; stay away from sweeter varieties
